A Magical Adventure:

⚔️ Familiar Con 2026 🧙‍♂️

The Ambrosia Literary Agency will be making a guest appearance at Familiar Con 2026 and we are anxious for the opportunity to provide you with an EPIC, high level Dungeons & Dragons (3.0 edition) adventure based on one of our author’s stories, Deception.

Deception is a tale of betrayal and plots within plots. Only you can uncover the truth, stop the encroaching evil, and ensure the continued safety of Faerûn! To prepare for your quest, you can read the short story here.

The Ambrosia Literary Agency and Find Familiar Games (FFG) agree that players of D&D and other similar RPG’s are among societies most creative individuals and we are here to encourage players to share their creativity through writing, poetry, and art.

Each player will be provided with a sword and scroll to record their adventures. Should players wish to produce a story based on their character’s gaming experiences, they will have an opportunity to submit their writings, poetry, or art from the perspective of their character to Ambrosia to be published online in collaboration with FFG.

The campaign will last for three days, each day bringing a new set of characters and a new adventure, live from Anathema’s Dungeon.

The game will be live streamed as we play so bring your best game, sharpest swords, and nastiest spells to the place “Where Evil Blooms”.

About Anathema's Dungeon

Have you ever wondered what your favorite Dungeons & Dragons character would look like on paper? Not just as part of a game that’s played and then forgotten, but their deeds described in detail along with the motivations for their actions. We have! And that is what we wish to offer you: The opportunity to bring a Rogue, Ranger, Paladin, Mage, Druid, or Cleric to life. We want you to tell their stories as we tell ours.

The Ambrosia Literary Agency is proud to announce the launching of Anathema's Dungeon™. We are offering this new and unique workshop that combines the necessary creativity and mental agility of Dungeons and Dragons with essential writing skills like character creation, dialogue, and, most importantly, the ability to become the character you create.

Anathema's Dungeon is an immersive RPG event using Dungeons & Dragons, 3.0 edition.

This workshop will be comprised of two elements:

  1. Attend and participate in the gaming sessions.

  2. Learn and hone your skills by writing about the story of the adventure you experience from the perspective of your character.

Once your stories are completed, each will be featured in part or whole on various Social Media platforms including WordWeaver’s Sanctum: Anathema’s Dungeon.

We encourage all aspiring writers of horror, fantasy, supernatural, dark fantasy, etc. to join us. No matter what you write, you'll leave Anathema’s Dungeon with a better understanding of building characters, creating dialogue that flows, plot twists, and more.

Most importantly, we're going to have a lot of fun!

Anathema's Dungeon: Where Evil Blooms

In the land of Faerûn adventure flows past every door like rivers. To paraphrase Bilbo Baggins; Stepping outside your door can be a dangerous business. Even now in a remote and normally quiet part of Faerûn, there is Evil stirring. Will you answer the call, step up and be the person that Faerûn needs?

If you are a writer who loves Dungeons & Dragons we have the perfect campaign and workshop to hone your skills in both. Sponsored by The Ambrosia Literary Agency and hosted at Find Familiar Games, we are bringing you an interactive opportunity to produce writings based on your character’s gaming experiences.

In both D&D and writing, Wisdom is often a sharper weapon than a blade and wit can strike quicker than the arrow. This is your opportunity to explore the value of cleverness and creativity, a chance for the creative writer to assume the role of storytelling. This is the sort of practice that makes perfect, especially when it comes to producing well-rounded, spellbinding tales.

Anathema's Dungeon Rules

  • Characters begin with Max hit points at 1st level.

  • When rolling stats, you will roll 4 dice and drop the lowest number.

  • All female characters are +2 to Charisma. (Lord Anathema has a soft spot for female adventurers.)

  • All spell-caps and damage-caps are removed. For example, a Fireball cast by a 20th level Wizard does 20d6 + bonuses.

  • We utilize the Critical Hits Chart for more challenging, exciting, and realistic combat scenes.

  • Assassins use the Assassination Chart found in 1st edition D&D.

  • There are no level caps.

  • Anyone may freely dual or multi-class without racial restrictions or penalties.

  • We place equal emphasis on roleplay, combat, and problem solving. Roleplay is rewarded.

  • The Dungeon Master is here to create an entertaining and compelling adventure or campaign and will always listen to players.

  • Freedom of expression is always encouraged so long as it is done in a respectful, courteous, and dignified manner.

  • The player rolls their own dice! You make your own luck.

  • Experience points will be granted to the entire party after achievements, and individual players may receive bonus experience points for exceptional play.
